Buffalo Groves / Bloodhound Ranch is not a high volume Bloodhound Puppy Breeder! Our dogs are not kennel dogs, they are house dogs!
We will only breed Good Quality Bloodhounds who are Good Representatives of the AKC Bloodhound Breed Standard. We really strive to avoid breeding and creating giant sized bloodhounds, or bloodhounds with fat heads or flat feet, or excessive amounts of white. And of course, we breed healthy bloodhounds with OFA health certifications on Hearts (via echo-cardiogram), Hips, Elbows and Degenerative Myelopathy. We want beautiful healthy bloodhound puppies, beautiful healthy bloodhound adults, and beautiful healthy bloodhounds that can trail, track and work all day if needed!
We don't use ugly words like Puppy Mills or Back Yard Breeders to put others down and we don't create new fancy words, like Purposeful or Preservationist to try to make us more elite! We are just Honest-Accountable-Transparent Bloodhound Breeders... HAT Bloodhound Breeders if you will, but the bottom line is we are Responsible AKC Purebred Bloodhound Breeders!!!
If you are looking for a Bloodhound Puppy, we will do our best to assist you in Learning about the Bloodhound Breed and then make sure a Bloodhound is the right breed for you. We will try to help you secure the perfect Bloodhound Puppy to fit your family and your lifestyle. If we do not have a Bloodhound Puppy or Litter planned, we will refer you to other responsible Bloodhound Breeders (people we would consider getting a Bloodhound Puppy from.)

- Do all your family members want a puppy (want a bloodhound)?
- Do you have a large properly Fenced Yard (or live in an apartment)?
- Do you have the needed Time to Train a Puppy?
- Do you have access to Puppy and/or Obedience Classes?
- Do your dogs regularly have Pet Insurance?
- Can you afford a $2,500 - $5,000 Emergency Vet Bill?
- Do you plan to work your Bloodhound (SAR, Law Enforcement, etc.)?
- Do you want to show or do other dog events with your puppy?
- Do you think you may want to breed your bloodhound in the future?
